SCLAA Rockhampton Logistics Lounge

Following on from the successful launch of the Rockhampton regional chapter of the Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) earlier in the year the region will be running a Logistics Lounge on Wednesday the 24th of August at the Frenchville Sports Club.
Speakers for the Logistics Lounge will be Nev Burton, Principal - Australia & Overseas, Supply Chain Audit Services and Drew Stevenson, Strategic Manager Administration & Technology Services, Rockhampton Regional Council.
Nev will provide a presentation on the 6 Basic Rules of Supply Chain Management. You can have the best tools, systems and facilities available but if you don’t have the basics right you will never be able to meet your customer’s needs. This presentation is about getting the basics right to ensure that when you use the tools you will provide the best possible service to your customers.
Nev is a Senior Commercial Professional with over fifty years management experience and achievement in Supply Chain Management including Supply Chain Strategic Management, Contracting, Procurement, Logistics, Warehousing, Inventory Management and IT Systems.
Following on from Nev’s presentation, Drew will discuss the practical application of the ‘Six Basic Rules’ by providing a before and after style presentation, including the actual measured achievements delivered as a result of this approach.
Drew is an RRC strategic manager responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of a broad portfolio of corporate business units encompassing Information Technology, Records Management, Property & Insurance, Fleets Services, Customer Service, and Procurement & Logistics.
