Villa Maria Embraces Online Warehousing

In partnership with eStock (NZ) Limited Villa Maria has recently launched its own online inventory management system to its merchandising network. Villa Maria merchandisers and sales staff nationwide can now login online and order their marketing and promotional direct from the Villa Maria’s Inventory System located within their own warehouse, giving the warehouse and their marketing department real-time stock control.
 
Villa Maria’s Brand Manager Jolanda Bossers was instrumental in effecting this change which saw Villa Maria in-source over 80 pallets of marketing material (from wine award stickers to branded apparel) which had been warehoused by a 3rd party supplier.
 
“Embracing online technology like eStock has enabled us to provide our own online ordering solution to our sales force. The upshot is that we can control the information that is displayed online and download the reporting we want, when we want, in real-time”. Says Jolanda.

Villa Maria has indeed joined the trend of saving money. Just by in-sourcing the  warehousing and distribution of their own marketing material and utilising their own warehousing space Dion Van Zyl, Logistics Manager estimates that Villa Maria will save thousands on 3rd party warehousing costs, freight, packaging and labour. “We’re all about embracing efficiencies here at Villa and eStock is helping us do just that” says Van Zyl
